Journalists and media personnel: special body to investigate threatening messages

Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly has constituted a Special Committee to "Investigate the issue of threatening messages being received by journalists and media personnel". Notification to this effect has been issued by the National Assembly Secretariat on Monday.
The Speaker has constituted the Special Committee in pursuance of the motion adopted by the National Assembly under Rule 244(B) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly 2007. The Special Committee has been mandated to investigate the issue of threatening messages being received by journalists and media personnel. The Committee will comprise MNAs Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Nawab Muhammad Yousaf Talpur, Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Ahsan Iqbal, Engineer Khurrum Dastagir, Dr Attiya Inayatullah, Syed Haider Abass Rizvi, Pervez Khan and Mufti Ajmal Khan.-PR
