KPC elections: democrats' panel makes a clean sweep

Democrats' panel swept the Karachi Press Club (KPC) annual elections held here on Saturday. According to results announced by the election committee, Tahir Hassan Khan was elected President (494 votes); Fazil Jamilee vice president (473 votes); Rizwan Bhatti treasurer (513 votes); Moossa Kalim secretary (550 votes); and M Arif Khan joint secretary (457 votes).
Besides, all seven candidates of Democrats panel for the seats of Governing Body also won. They were: Asif Jiaja (517 votes); Saeed Sarbazi (471); Gazala Fasih (463); Noman Rafique (445); Imdad Soomro (389); Ghulam Mustafa Buledi (381); and Riaz Sohail (324).
