Four killed in separate incidents

At least four persons including a ranger man were killed in separate incidents in different parts of the metropolis on Thursday. According to Rangers' spokesman, Sub Inspector Siddique and Sepoy Madad Ali were on their way back from shopping at light house when three unknown persons on two bikes tried to snatch their motorcycle. On resistance, the criminals opened fire on them that left Sepoy Madad died on the spot while Siddique sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, police and rescue sources said a truck driver was shot dead at Dada Bhai Town near CNG Pump Street in the limits of Baloch Colony police station. Police said the victim Gul Badin, 45, who was the resident of Kashmir Plaza Jamshed Town, had been called by one Fazal to a spot. When he reached there, Fazal and his accomplices opened fire, killing him on the spot.
The victim's body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. SHO Aslam Khakrani said the victim, who was the father of three, had a land dispute with Fazal in Swat and he might have been murdered on the same ground. In another incident, a security guard was found dead under mysterious circumstances at North Nazimabad Block D in the limits of Sharah Noor Jahan police station.
According to details, a person informed the police that the body of his security guard namely Wajid, 28 son of Shah Nawaz was lying on the rooftop of his bungalow. The police rushed to the spot and recovered the bullet-riddled body of Wajid. Police said the victim had received a single bullet on his head. Later his body was sent to his hometown Larkana. Police registered an FIR 581/11 against unidentified man on the complaint of Laeeq Ahmed.
In yet another incident, a man was shot dead while his brother sustained bullet wounds in the jurisdiction of Surjani police station. Police said two brothers namely Abbas and Khan Mola were busy in unloading a sand truck, when they were targeted by unidentified armed men. After committing the crime, the culprits escaped from the scene. Police shifted the injured to ASH where Abbas succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Later police handed over the victim's body to his heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
