Shoaib Malik suffers delayed concussion after ball hits his head
Earlier, Malik suffered from symptoms of delayed concussion after he was struck by a ball on the back of his head while taking a run, during the first inning of the fourth One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand on Tuesday.
Though Malik continued to bat, the all-rounder was not available on the field for his side during the second inning of the match.
The incident occurred during the thirty second over, when Malik was hit by a throw from Colin Munro while taking a single. The ball hit Malik at the back of his unprotected head, as he was not wearing a helmet at that point.
