Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has slammed current skipper Sarfraz Ahmed over his captaincy during the fourth One Day International against New Zealand, which was played on Tuesday.

"I saw many flaws in Sarfraz's captaincy in this game," said Akhtar, quoted PakPassion. Akhtar was especially critical of the fact that Kiwis all rounder Colin de Grandhomme was allowed to play freely without any pressure applied from the Pakistani bowlers or the field.

"Amir did not bowl a bouncer to Grandhomme, who had just come in to bat. There was no slip for Grandhomme, singles were being allowed easily," Akhtar added.

The fast bowler, hailed as the fastest ever in world cricket, praised Grandhomme for his ‘sensible’ batting against the Team Green. Grandhomme went on to score a blistering knock of 74 runs of just 40 deliveries, including seven boundaries and five maximums, and taking his side to another victory in the five match series..

Earlier, former captain Ramiz Raja panned the Pakistani batting order, for its inability against the short ball, in the bounce friendly conditions Down Under.

With the series 4-0 in favor of the Kiwis, Pakistan would play their final 50-overs game of the series at Wellington on Friday, January 19.
