A young man on Friday committed suicide at his house located in Pak Kausar Town Malir within the limits of Khokhrapar police station. The victim, who was identified as Osama, 25, son of Moiz Uddin and a resident of Pak Kausar Town Malir, claimed his life by shooting himself on early Friday.
Police said the victim's family in the statement informed that the victim was mentally challenged and made several suicidal attempts before the said incident. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and later handed over to his family. Police said the victim, who was unemployed, was unmarried.
An elder man was killed in a traffic mishap at Jhanjar Goth Super Highway in the limits of Sohrab Goth police station. The incident took place at Jhanjar Goth Super Highway near Ayub Goth, where Allah Rakhio, 69, son of Balaj Barohi, who was going on his bicycle, was knocked by speedy vehicle. Resultantly he died on the spot while the responsible driver managed to flee from the crime spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. Police said the victim, who was the resident of Pir Bux Barohi Goth Gadap Town, hailed from Balochistan. No case was registered till filing of this report.
