As winter season is nearing, weather conditions are becoming stiffer in Skardu as temperature in the city of the northern areas fell to minus four degree centigrade in the last 24 hours, the met office said on Friday. It said that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. "A shallow trough of westerly wave is also affecting Western borders of the country," it adds. Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
"However light rain may occur at a few places of Malakand, Quetta divisions," it said. Foggy/misty conditions are likely to prevail in plains of Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa during the late night and early morning hours, the Met Office says. "Weather remained dry in most parts of country. Foggy/misty conditions prevailed over plain areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa". Karachi's weather is expected to remain dry with maximum temperature between 32 degree centigrade and 34 degree centigrade in the next 24 hours, the forecaster said.
