Pakistan women cricket team entered into the semi-final of ICC Women's World Cup qualifier on Tuesday after beating the Netherlands by 193 runs in the quarterfinals at Narayanganj Osmani Stadium, Fatullah, Dhaka. With this victory Pakistan's women team qualified for the ICC Women's World Cup 2013 scheduled in India and for ICC T20 Championship scheduled to be played in 2012 in Sri Lanka, said the information made available here on Tuesday.
Pakistan team elected to bat after winning the toss piled up 277-4 in 50 overs, Javeria Khan 67, Bismah Maroof 66 not out, Nida Dar 57 and Sana Mir 49 were the main contribution for Pakistan. Netherland were bowled out at low 84 runs in 37 overs, Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar took 3 wickets each. Meanwhile, on this marvellous achievement of the women team, the Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf and the Chairperson Women Wing, PCB, Bushra Aitzaz have congratulated the team and praised the collective efforts of the team for achieving a milestone in Pakistan's women cricket history.
