Simply 'incompatible'

Pakistan is being mercilessly plundered, looted and is on the verge of collapse as a viable and governable state entity. All the state institutions have systematically been decimated, deliberately by the most corrupt ruling coalition led by the PPP which, without doubt, is simply incompatible with Pakistan in every respect, right from its inception as a political party.
The PPP has not been a good omen for the nation - it brought nothing but chaos, corruption, incompetence and abject misery to the people of this country. It was first Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the founding chairperson of PPP, who was singularly responsible for the break-up of Pakistan in 1971 and the destruction of its business houses and industry which was done in a most absurd and lunatic action of mass scale nationalisation of private assets.
The next two ruling tenures under PPP's succeeding 'chairperson', Benazir Bhutto, were nothing but the beginning of an era of massive loot, plunder, graft, commissions, kickbacks, corruption and unprecedented money laundering. It was Benazir's government that had recognised the despicable Taliban. It was nothing short of a disaster!
The current tenure of the corrupt to the core, PPP-led coalition government, headed by Asif Zardari, his puppet, perhaps a shadeless corrupt Prime Minister, Gilani, and cronies are bent upon destroying Pakistan, a country of 160 million helpless people. Pakistan Railways, once a most reliable mode of transport for the average and the poor Pakistani, has been turned into a graveyard of rotting locomotive engines and coaches. Pakistan Steel Mills, which was in the black only 4 years ago, is now a financially collapsed and bankrupt scrap-yard. Pakistan International Airlines, (PIA), once this nation's pride, is virtually grounded. Pakistan State Oil (PSO), and Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL), are caught in the blizzard of the circular debt, they can not get out and finding it excruciatingly difficult to run their respective operations effectively. There are many similar examples in this regard.
Rampant corruption in the award of rental power plants, mismanagement of the vital energy sector, have plunged the nation into abject darkness and its industries near complete closure. Printing of billions of rupees to pay for the financial indiscipline, waywardness, extravagant, incompetent style of (mis)governance, all perpetrated with the collusion of pathetic managers of the national coffers, has not only resulted in over 45 percent devaluation of the rupee, but unbearable inflation and massive price hikes of daily consumables, making the life of the poor a sheer hell on earth. The writ of the State is nowhere to be found. The country has become a killing ground for the terrorists. There is no security for the life and property of the common citizen. Terrorists, target killers, criminals and gangster, patronised by the ruling and opposition political parties, rule supreme in connivance with their respective masters. Political loyalties and conscience are traded like stocks. Everything is available for sale or rent. Just look at the government and its coalition partners and the mutual transactions they indulge in. Shame on them.
How traumatic, painful and wrenching it is for a helpless nation to watch its country being destroyed right in front of its eyes, yet they cannot do a thing to stop its destruction by a handful of corrupt, incompetent, self-serving, inconsequential dynastical rulers and politicians who know nothing but how to loot, plunder national wealth and fill in their overflowing overseas bank accounts.
All state institutions have been rendered impotent and dysfunctional. The sad part of the sordid story is that the two state institutions that can stop the rot and prevent the nation's total collapse, have become mere spectators to the annihilation of Pakistan by the corrupt and the incompetent.
Out of these two institutions, one has been rendered totally benign, ineffective, toothless and non-functional, while the other is providing sustenance, support and longevity to the corrupt dispensation, practically, as a part of the coalition! Under the circumstances, what holds for Pakistan, other than becoming a completely failed state? The country is burning and the 'Neros' are playing on their flutes, listening only to their tunes.
