Six kidnappers held, 4 hostages recovered

The Anti Violence Crime Cell (AVCC) claimed to have arrested six alleged kidnappers and recovered four hostages on Monday. Speaking at a press conference, AVCC Chief SP Ghulam Subhani said that all four hostages were recovered and their kidnappers were arrested in separate raids at Shah Latif, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Saeedabad.
The accused persons were identified as Abdul Razzak, Mohammad Arshad, Sarfaraz alias Bohra, Rajab Ali alias Nadeem, Abdul Kareem and Sain Dad while the hostages were Sadiq, 14, Mohammad Ayaz, 18, Jaffer Lasi, 50 and Mohammad Sultan, 25. He further said that two Kalashnikovs, one 7mm rifle, one repeater and a TT pistol were also recovered from the alleged criminals.
Subhani said the kidnappers belonged to three different groups and they were involved in several cases of kidnapping for ransoms. He said that two of the recovered hostages were businessmen while rest of the two were sons of the traders. He said the alleged kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 4 million for the release of hostages.
