Zardari vows action against Haqqanis

President Asif Ali Zardari has promised to work with the United States to ``eradicate' the militant Haqqani network. President made the pledge during a conversation with visiting American lawmakers to Pakistan. Homeland Security delegation head Michael McCaul revealed the details of the discussion late Tuesday.
McCaul says he welcomed Zardari's remarks but that ``the questions is how much control does he have over the military' and Pakistan's spy agencies, which are in charge of Afghan policy.
