Scores of member of civil society staged a demonstration to condemn spot fixing by Pakistani cricketers and tarnishing the image of the country. The demonstrator burnt the portraits of Pakistan trio of Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir who were found guilty in spot fixing. President United Citizen Front Tariq Naeem-ullah Khan led the demo, which was also joined by the young players who were shouting slogans against the convicts.
They said that the three cricketers who were found guilty of spot fixing should never play for their country again. The convicts planned to bowl no-balls during the Lord's Test match against England in August 2010. "I think they should never play for the Pakistan cricket team," Khan said while addressing the demonstrators.
