Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 88,295 tonnes of cargo comprising 56,722 tonnes of import cargo and 31,573 tonnes of export cargo including 4,023 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 56,722 tonnes comprised of 20,955 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,653 tonne of general cargo; 26,159 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,909 tonnes of DAP; 522 tonnes of wheat; 21,250 tonnes of coal and 2,955 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 31,573 tonnes comprised of 29,679 tonnes of containerised cargo; 356 tonnes of general cargo; 1,338 tonnes of cement and 200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Begonia, Lindavia, Hyundai Colombo, Hansa Constitution, Asian Chemi and Great Hope carrying container ships, oil tanker and bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Hansa Constitution, President Folk, Falda and MT Multan carrying container ships, oil tanker and bulk cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths. Five ships namely President Folk, Hanjin Monaco, Falda, Le Rong and C Ballad carrying container ships, oil tanker, general cargo ship and DAP carrier respectively expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Al-Ihsaa, Hermis and Cap Graham carrying container ships, crude oil tanker and rock phosphate ship respectively due to arrive on Wednesday, while two vessels viz MT Karachi and Lilac carrying crude oil tanker and rock phosphate ship respectively are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIMA cargo volume of 125,474 tonnes, comprising 80,390 tonnes of import cargo and 45,084 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 4,475 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 80,390 tonnes includes 49,399 tonnes of diesel oil and 30,991 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo includes 45,084 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two container ships namely CV Maersk Missouri and CV MSC Anafi sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while three more ships namely CV Sealand Michigan, CV Al-Abdali and MT Al-Salam-II are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of four vessels CV Sealand Michigan, CV Al-Abdali, CV MSC Anafi and MT Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. Seven ships namely Nora Maersk, ACX Rafflesia, Sea Sky, Bow Lima, Chemroad Journey, STX Vivo and Mali Bu with containers, furnace oil, palm oil, canola seeds and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of six vessels viz CV ACX Rafflesia, CV CMA CGM Puccini, MV STX Vivo, MT Bow Lima, MT Mali Bu and MT Sea Sky carrying containers, canola seeds, palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Grain & Fertiliser Terminal (FAP), Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Three ships namely CV Pisti, CV Dubai Express and MT Stolt Sun with containers and palm oil are due to arrive on Thursday. As many as two vessels viz CV MSC Natalia and MT Quetta with containers and furnace oil are also due to arrive at Port Qasim.
