Swiss manufacturing activity sinks to two-year low

Manufacturing activity in Switzerland slowed to its weakest in more than two years in October, an index showed, a sign the economy is struggling to cope with the Swiss franc's level despite the central bank's cap. The Swiss purchasing managers' index fell to a seasonally adjusted 46.9 points in October from 48.2 points the previous month, data showed on Tuesday.
That is its second consecutive monthly print below the 50 point mark that separates growth from contraction and the October reading is the lowest since July 2009.
