Flood-hit, poor people: UWT to distribute sacrificial meat

Ummah Welfare Trust(UWT), a charity organisation, has decided to give more than 4,000 animals Qurbani on eve of religious festival "Eid-ul-Azha" to distribute sacrificial meat among flood-hit, deserving and poor people of the country.
The decision has taken in a meeting held here under Mohammad Didar in the chair at Ummah Children Academy, Suriya Khel, in district Nowshra. Mohammad Deedar informed that the trust has decided to give Qurbani of 4,000 animals in this year while keeping in view increasing number of deserving people in the country.
This year, he added that the religious obligation of Qurbani would be carried out four districts of the country, including district Nowshera, Muzaffargarh, Badin and Gilgit. He said the trust had given Qurbani of more than 3,200 animals last year and distributed the sacrificial meat among floods, and natural calamity hit people along with deserving and disabled hailing from neighbouring Afghanistan.
He said that the trucks will be loaded with sacrificial meat would be dispatched from district Nowshera to distribute among flood-hit victims of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with deserving people of Afghanistan. While the recent flood affected people of Sindh province will provide meat through Badin distribution point.
He furthered said that the Ummah trust will also distribute sacrificial meat among famine hit people of Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Sudan. The trust had already carried out operations activities in the famine affected countries, he maintained. Meanwhile, Mualana Mohammad Idress has expressed satisfaction over Qurbani preparation of upcoming "Eid-ul-Azha" and lauded the philanthropists and donors' assistance for deserving people of Pakistan.
