On the special direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, special plane carrying relief goods for earthquake affectees of Turkey by the Punjab government reached Turkey. Ten tons relief items have been sent by C-130 airplane.
These relief items have been sent to affected areas through trucks with the co-operation of Turkish Red Crescent, which included 120 tents and 12 big tents for field hospitals. The second consignment of relief items would soon be sent by the Punjab government.
Punjab government has also sent a team headed by Provincial Minister for Food Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor for supply of relief items to the affectees. The team comprising Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khalid Sherdil, Deputy Secretary Chief Minister's Secretariat Sohail Ahmad Tepu and other officials. The team has reached in "Wan" of Turkey.
