WBDC to hold conference for women SMEs

Women Business Development Centre will today (Monday) hold a roundtable conference for creation of awareness among women SMEs about the available loan for promotion of their products. The objective of the conference is to give guideline and awareness to women entrepreneurs regarding availability of loan for promotion of their products, said Nabeela Farman, Project Manager WBDC, to this scribe.
She said the WBDC has adopted viable strategy to facilitate women businessperson for promotion of their potential products in the local market. She informed that there is a need to encourage women entrepreneur-ship because immense potential and talent exists there. Ms. Nabeela said creation of awareness is the key for promotion of women manufacturing products in the local and regional markets. For this purpose, she added, they are going to organise an interaction session between for women SMEs and bankers to provide them guidelines for acquiring soft loans to promote their businesses. Similarly, the WBDC has arranged a Youth Fair on Eid-ul-Azha to attract female students to join business field after completion of post-graduation study instead of wasting time in search of jobs. Another interaction session between women entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors, and social activists for sensitisation and promotion of women entrepreneur products, he explained.
The WBDC project manager said that they are going to hold three-day Mela Gulumna at Khyber Park in first week of December this year. She said the WBDC had adopted very proactive approaches towards women entrepreneur-ship in the province. With the short span of time, she said that they had achieved remarkable achievements and extended maximum facilitation services to women businessperson for promotion of their businesses.
Concluding, she said that many of women entrepreneurs are running their own business and trained by the WBDC, she informed. She said that there are needed to provide proper guideline and awareness for women entrepreneurs to promote their skilled and handmade products in a better and efficient way.
