United States funded, Community Rehabilitation Infrastructure Support Programme (CRISP) is providing Rs 20 million for renovation of the Institute of Education & Research (IER), University of Peshawar. In this connection a programme was held at the institute, which was attended by representatives of donor agencies and faculty members. Vice Chancellor Peshawar University, Dr Azmat Hayat Khan was the chief guest.
Director IER Arbab Afridi said that initially the institute was made for accommodating around one hundred students but the number of students gradually increased with the passage of time and now with the introduction of four years B.Ed (Hons) programme more than four hundred students are enrolled at a time which is creating space problem for this institute. He thanked CRISP for their contribution in solving the space problem of IER.
