Senior Provincial Minister and PPP leader, Rahimdad Khan said on Sunday Begum Nusrat Bhutto was a symbol of courage and determination and never compromise on his principles. Talking to APP on death of Begum Nusrat Bhutto here at Dubai, he said death of Nusrat Bhutto was a national loss and vacuum created after her death would hardly be overcome in future.
The Senior Minister while eulogising her matchless political struggle against dictatorship said when Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was martyred; Nusrat Bhutto came on horizon of Pakistan's political scene and had successfully carried forward the mission of Quaid-i-Awam.
"Not only she trained her children on political, religious and education fronts but also bravely fought for rights of oppressed strata," he added. He said Nusrat Bhutto had given very tough time to Gen Zia and was emerged as champion of democracy, adding that after the martyrdom of ZA Bhutto, she run the affairs of party excellently in line with the guidelines set by his illustrious husband.
Terming her struggle for revival of undiluted democracy and promotion of human rights is matchless, he said the Begum Bhutto believed on peoples' rights and that is whey she was elected by people from Chitral on national assembly seat on 1988 general elections.
"Whenever I met her, I saw courage and determination on her face and always talked about progress and prosperity of Pakistan," he said. He said Pakistan had lost a sincere and true statesman and her death was a great loss for the country and democratic forces.
