Swiss franc climbs

The Swiss franc climbed against the euro on Friday amidst increased risk aversion due to concerns about Germany and France not reaching an agreement on how to deal with Europe's debt crisis. The dollar also tumbled against the Swiss franc, falling 1 percent at one point. Traders cited stop-loss buying of Swiss francs and some talk of Swiss franc buying by a US name.
The franc was up 0.9 percent against the dollar to trade at 0.8866 compared to the New York close. The franc rose 0.8 percent against the euro to trade at 1.2218.
