Slow activity was seen on the wholesale grain market on Monday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new Bardan gained Rs 5 to Rs 2630 and 2645, gur better type was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 7500 while the low quality was unchanged at Rs 6500, other items maintained overnight levels, they said.
On the rice side, Irri-6 Sindh picked up Rs 75 to Rs 3350-3375 and Irri-white Broken, however, low type shed Rs 250 to Rs 2500 and good type fell by Rs 200 to Rs 2600, they said. On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type lost Rs 50 to Rs 1050 and the good type dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 1100. Prices did not show any change on the grams side, they said.
