Gilgit-Baltistan opposition leader becomes minister

Leader of opposition in Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly Bashir Ahmed has been appointed a minister, said a notification issued here on Saturday. In a simple but impressive ceremony held at Governor House, Bashir Ahmad was administered oath by Governor GB, Syed Pir Karam Ali Shah.
The ceremony was attended by Speaker Assembly, Wazir Baig, Deputy Speaker Jamil Ahmed, cabinet members, members of the assembly, senior civil administration officials and notables of the area. With this induction, the number of cabinet members became eight with two special advisors to the chief minister.
