A delegation of the Turkish International co-operation and development agency (TIKA) visited the office of the Farmers Associates Pakistan (FAP) here on Saturday to discuss the possibility of accomplishing a technically successful research for a possible co-operation in capacity building of the growers of Pakistan.
The TIKA is working under the prime ministry of Republic of Turkey represented by Mahmut CEVIK, TIKA Co-ordinator of Agriculture Projects and Miss. Elif TURKISAMOGHLU, TIKA's Islamabad programme co-ordinator.
FAP President Dr Tariq Bucha said that Hussain Jahania Gardezi presided over the meeting and both FAP and TIKA's delegates agreed upon the need for mutual co-operation and co-ordination to develop and implement a focused and effective programme for this purpose. The basic objective being to improve the productivity of Pakistan's agriculture value chain from bottom to top through the infusion of proper human resource to the system including the provision of hands on learning experience in modern methods of farm productivity.
