The City District Government Lahore has on Friday formed a Special Dengue Brigade consisting of 20 vehicles for eradication of dengue virus, which will provide quick response to the citizens on the identification of dengue larvae and its elimination. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the dengue brigade.
Chairmen of town committees and secretaries of various departments were also present on the occasion. While lauding the efforts of District Co-ordination Officer Lahore Ahad Cheema for setting up Special Dengue Brigade, the Chief Minister said setting up of a special brigade for eradication of dengue mosquito and its larvae is a commendable step, on which the DCO deserved appreciation.
