Pak, China sign MoU in foreign affairs to enhance cooperation

ISLAMABAD: A Memorandum of Understanding on co-operation between the Foreign Service Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and China Foreign Affairs University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China was signed in Beijing, Pakistan Embassy in Beijing announced here Wednesday.

Ambassador of Pakistan Masood Khalid and Qin Yaqing, President of China Foreign Affairs University signed the memorandum.

Ambassador Masood Khalid in the signing ceremony said that this memorandum is the right framework to further enhance co-operation in joint research projects, academic exchanges and training of students.

He said both countries are already collaborating in fields of energy, infrastructure, industrial zones and development of Gwadar Port under the umbrella of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and this MoU would extend this co- operation to the fields of education and research as well.

The President Qin Yaqing said that the collaboration was all important and special attention was given to the promising Pakistani students. He envisaged greater heights for the deep rooted relations between the two institutions.
