HYDERABAD: The Muttahida Quomi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has filed an appeal at Sindh High Court Circuit Bench Hyderabad against the non release of the development funds and neglecting the development work in Hyderabad.

The MQM made the Chief Secretary Sindh, Secretary Finance Sindh, Commissioner Hyderabad, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad and other concerned authorities respondent in its petition praying for release of development funds for Provincial Constituencies No: 45, 46, 48 and 49 from Sindh Government, informed the party spokesman.

While talking to media persons before filing the petition, the District Organizer MQM-P and MPA Rashid Khilji said that the citizens of Hyderabad have been deprived of their rights due to indiscriminate act of Sindh Government.

The citizens of Hyderabad, paying billions of rupees in respect of different kinds of taxes, were getting no civic facilities even the cleanliness and drinking water, he said and added that Sindh Minister for Local Government claimed the grant of Rs. 30 million to HMC but he always avoided the fact that his prior permission was required to spend the same grant by HMC.

He said that time has come to make all those accountable who were involved in grabbing the state land and usurping the national exchequer.

The MQM-P was submitting the evidences before the court which clearly indicated the undiscriminating acts of Sindh Government and the officers loyal to the rulers, he added.

MPA Dilawar Qureshi Advocate while talking to media persons informed that the government had allocated Rs. 8500 millions for Hyderabad district under Community Development Programme of the Annual Budget 2016-2017 which supposed to distribute among all provincial constituencies of the district but the development grant had been released only for PS-47 and PS-50 under the said head which clearly indicating the indiscriminate act of the rulers of provincial government with the citizens of PS-45, 46, 48 and 49. Among others, MPA Sabir Hussain Qaimkhani, members of MQM Legal Aid Committee Aslam Pervaz Advocate, Abdul Haq Qureshi Advocate and Haq Parast representatives of the local government were also present on the occasion.
