Four cricketers hailing from Indian held Kashmir were arrested by the Indian authorities, for participating in a pre-match ceremony during which national anthem of Pakistan was played.
The arrests were made after a video of the incident, showing two teams standing in a field donning green and white uniforms, resembling the Pakistan kit with Pakistan national anthem being played in the background, went viral on social media.

The match took place on January 3 at Bandipora district of north IoK. “The teams have been booked,” said senior superintendent of police Bandipora, Sheikh Zulfikar Azad, quoted Hindustan Times.
This is not the first incident where Kashmiri cricketers have shown support for Pakistan. Earlier, cricketers from IoK were detained in April last year after a similar video on rocked the internet.
