Hosts Kuwait beat Pakistan 2-0 in the AFC U-16 Championship qualifiers Group B game at Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium in Kuwait City on Thursday, according to the information made available here. Kuwait U-16 took an early lead through striker Bandar Bourslee after 8 minutes and maintain their 1-0 lead through out a first half.
Pakistan came close a few times with some quick counterattacks but failed to score. In the 2nd half, Kuwait's second goal came through midfielder Abdul-Aziz. In the other Group B game, UAE were held to a 1-1 draw by Afghanistan. Kuwait now top Group B with 4 points while Pakistan is 2nd with 3 points after two games. Pakistan next meet UAE on Saturday (September 17) at Mohammed Al Hamad Stadium.
