Investigation wing arrested 1737 criminals in 2017

LAHORE: Investigation Wing smashed 712 gangs and arrested their 1737 members involved in terrorism, dacoity, murder and other heinous crimes during crackdown against criminals in 2017.

The police also recovered stolen property worth 796 million besides illegal weapons from their possession.

The police traced 7238 cases besides 263 dangerous accused of murder cases have been challaned.

The police also arrested 6823 proclaimed offenders in which 1888 were involved in heinous cases and 3345 court absconder and total 52484 cases were challaned.

SSP Investigation Ghulam Mubashar Maken has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the officials who arrested the criminals.
