WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump's decision to freeze aid to Pakistan could affect up to $1.9 billion worth of assistance, a senior administration official said on Friday -- substantially more than first thought.
The official said "equipment and coalition support funding" was in play, detailing military and Afghanistan-focused funding that will now be frozen if Pakistan does not crack down on the Haqqani network, a faction of the Taliban.
