Pakistani specialist doctors will render their services in Saudi Arabia for three months in a very facilitating environment against considerable remuneration according to an agreement between CPSP and Saudi Health Council. This was said by the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSP) Vice-President and Lahore Regional Director Professor Khalid Masood Gondal in the concluding ceremony of BLS and ACLS courses.
The ceremony was organised by the CPSP Lahore centre in collaboration with American College of Surgeons and American Heart Association at Block-D, New Muslim Town, Lahore, here on Thursday. The specialist doctors, who are visiting Saudi Arabia, were amongst the participants of these courses.
Professor Khalid Masood Gondal said that soon after the return of first group, second group will visit Saudi Arabia at the end of this month. He said these doctors will deliver their services in all the major cities of Saudi Arabia including Makkah Mokarrama, Madina Munnawwara, Al-Riaz and Al-Qaseem.
The vice-president advised the specialist doctors to learn Arabic language before they leave Pakistan and declared that the successful completion of BLS, ACLS and ATLS along with international courses is compulsory for these doctors. He said that CPSP had organised these courses at its Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad centers simultaneously. Course Directors Professor Mahmood Ayaz and Dr Abrar Ashraf Ali are supervising these courses as per directions of the President Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry.
At the eve of the concluding ceremony, an interaction between Professor Khalid Masood Gondal and the doctors was also held. Professor Khalid Masood Gondal said these specialist doctors are the representatives of CPSP and the country as well, adding that their better performance will supplement the repute of this institution in international community. He further said CPSP also intends to organise such training courses within the country for trainee doctors.
