Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan has questioned the appointment of Auditor General of Pakistan and claimed that he is involved in many corruption cases. He was addressing an Iftar party, which was arranged by PTI Central Vice President, Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhary, here on Saturday. PTI Punjab General Secretary, Yasim Rashid was also present on the occasion.
Imran said the new Auditor General has been appointed to cover the corruption of the ruling party. He held the ruling party responsible for the mayhem in Karachi, adding that police cannot do anything (to curb crimes) since the rulers are giving protection to the criminals in the city.
He also criticised the government for creating hurdles in the way of the Supreme Court, which is making efforts to catch the criminals. "A bright future is not possible under the present corrupt rulers whose interests are different from that of Pakistan, hence it is imperative to remove them from power," he remarked. The PTI chief warned Sharif brothers of the change in Lahore and added that his party will hold a public meeting on October 23 at Minar-e-Pakistan, which will be an eye-opener for them.
He was hopeful of a bright future of Pakistan and added that the day is not far when Pakistan will be a prosperous and respectful country. "Time has come for a change and the PTI will free the country from the clutches of corrupt rulers. There will be a new Pakistan, which will run by its own resources and not charity," he concluded.
