Twin blasts in Chaman injures at least seven

At least seven people, including police officials, were injured in back-to-back bomb blasts on Chaman’s Mall Road in Balochistan on Monday.

According to local media reports, the first blast took place near the Special Branch’s office on Mall Road. The second blast occurred near a police picket, when the security forces reached the site of the first blast.

The police said that a time-bound explosive was placed near an under-construction building  next to the office. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, where emergency has been imposed.

Security officials have cordoned off the area, while further investigation is under way.
