Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has vowed to collect taxes from all the rich people of the country if his party is voted to power. He expressed these views while addressing a public gathering in connection with party's membership drive here on Saturday. PTI leaders, including Dr Arif Alvi, Umer Sarfaraz Cheema, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Zaheer Abbas Khokhar, Ishtiaq Malik and others were also present on the occasion.
He observed that the PML-N will face a defeat in the next general elections. He challenged PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif of a crushing defeat in the next polls and added that he and his younger brother would return to Jeddah soon. He blamed the PML-N for bringing a corrupt ruler (referring to Zardari) to power. He pointed out that the PML-N chief only paid a tax of Rs 5, 000 despite the fact that he owns assets of billions of rupees abroad.
He also alleged that both Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Zardari are supporting each other to cover their corruption in the name of democracy. "However, a revolution of people's power is around the corner and no corrupt power could defeat this revolution," he added. He was confident that downfall of corrupt rulers was just a matter of time and he will 'clean bowl' both Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari with a single ball. He also came hard on MQM and said that it cannot deceive the people by pretending to be an opposition party after accepting the governorship of Sindh. "One needs a PhD degree to comprehend the MQM politics of joining and leaving the government," he added.
