A man was shot dead and two others injured in different incidents in Federal Capital during last 24 hours. According to details, 18 incidents of crime of different nature were reported in Federal Capital during last 24 hours in which Capital Police arrested eleven accused.
Some unknown assailants shot and injured Hafizur Rehman outside his house in Sohan village in the outskirts of Islamabad in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town Police Station who was rushed to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police registered a case under section 302/34 against unknown assailants and started investigation.
Kohsar Police stopped a car No NB-846 near Super Market (F-6 Markaz) and on checking police recovered one pistol (9mm), 45 bullets and four magazine of 9mm, 40 bullets and two magazines of SMG rifle from the car. Police impounded the car and arrested the accused namely Imran Khan.
A rashly driven car (Reg. No QA-019) hit a another car (No IDF-50) in Blue Area, wherein a man, Muhammad Amjad, injured. Kohsar Police arrested the drive and registered case against him. Secretariat Police arrested three persons namely Qari Baseer Ahmed, Qari Gulsher Ahmed and Qari Fazlur Rehman, who have reportedly tortured a woman at Dhokri Chowk area after forcibly entering her house.
Nilore Police nabbed a person over power pilferage in Thandapani area. The SDO Javed Iqbal informed the police that the accused Zubair Shah has indulged in power theft and he detained IESCO official Muhammad Hafeez in a room. Police arrested the accused. Golra Police during routine patrolling stopped a person namely Muhammad Siddiq in Pind Paracha and on search 175 gram heroin was recovered from him.
