Detecting fake consignment of Wet Blue Leather: PTA congratulates PaCCS

The Pakistan Tanners Association appreciates the steps taken by the Customs Model Collectorate (PaCCS), Karachi for detecting and confiscating 3-containers by a Company named M/s Leather Cotex, Kasur. This firm is not a member of PTA has tried to deprive Custom Duty of Million of Rupees by fraud means being loss to national exchequer.
Pakistan Tanners Association congratulates Pakistan Customs Authority for Split Leather for detecting this fraud of mis-declaration of Wet Blue. Exports of Wet blue leather by unscrupulous elements are damaging the leather industry of Pakistan. We hope such fraudulent activities will be eliminated in future by the effective role of Pakistan Customs in detecting fake consignment of Wet Blue Leather.-PR
