Police on Monday registered three separate cases against unidentified persons over the attacks on the offices of political parties. First FIR was lodged by the Muttahida Organising Committee (MOC) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), while another was registered by Awami National Party (ANP) and the rest was on behalf of the state.
Following the heavy gunshots, panic and fear gripped the entire locality, heavy contingent of law enforcers were deployed at the area to avert any untoward incident. According to police report, armed men opened fires at the ANP office in Macchar Colony on Monday that sparked armed clash between two groups.
During cross firing, unidentified persons attacked on the MOC office located at Kachi market and destroyed its furniture. Police were also came under attack when they reached the spot after the incident. The police registered three separate cases in this connection. The cases were registered against unidentified persons. However, the raids in this regard were being conducted.
