Jamaat-e-Islami urges government to provide relief to masses

The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General, Liaquat Baloch, has called upon the government to provide substantial relief to the masses in the next year budget with subsidy on POL products, agricultural inputs and cut in electricity tariff. He deplored that the government had not cut down the POL prices in spite of a fall in prices in the world market.
He said that the rulers were not ready to cut down their lavish spending to meet the financial crunch but were placing the burden on the poor masses.
