The legal fraternity here Monday observed partial strike and boycott of courts to protest against the firing incident in which a lawyer was injured and two accused brothers lost their lives. The lawyers did not attend the courts after 10.30am and held protest meetings to condemn the incident.
Expressing his views, President Lahore High Court Bar Association, Asghar Ali Gill expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation. He demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and punishing them in accordance with law. He also asked the government to ensure foolproof security arrangements for lawyers.
