Police on Wednesday recovered an 11-day-old mutilated body from Christian graveyard in the limits of Sir Syed police station. According to details, the body of the deceased Ajmal, who has been missing since May 14 and the report in this regard was filed by his spouse in Sir Syed police station, was recovered on the pointation of the accused Habib.
Police said the accused Habib, who was arrested two days ago, revealed during initial course of investigation that he killed Ajmal over the suspicious of his illegal relations with his wife. He further informed that he had buried Ajmal's body in the Christian portion of Shah Muhammad graveyard. Reacting on the information, the police in the presence of doctors from Abbasi Shaheed Hospital recovered Ajmal's body, which was later buried in the local graveyard after legal formalities. Further investigation is underway.
