Weather advisory for farmers till May 31

In its weather advisory for farmers till May 31, the Meteorological Department has said that hot and dry weather is expected during this week, therefore, farmers of the irrigated areas are advised to irrigate the crops as per water requirement.
It said mainly hot and dry weather with heat wave and dust storms has been reported from most of the agricultural plains of the country. Light rain/drizzle with thunderstorms and gusty winds have been reported at a few places from Kashmir, GB, KPK, upper hilly areas of Punjab due to which temperature fell by 5 to 8 degree Celsius in the agriculture plains of Punjab and lower KPK. It said on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mainly dry weather is expected over the most parts of the country. However, a few thunder/light rain is likely to occur over South western Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtoon Khawa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
