Sit-in staged against water supply suspension

Activists of Awami Tehreek and its women wing Sindiani Tehreek staged demonstration and sit-in on Sunday at Kotri Bridge, which links twin cities of Kotri and Hyderabad, to lodge protest against non-supply of drinking water to the citizens.
The sit-in caused severe traffic jam, as Kotri Bridge is the only bridge linking the two cities and always remains busy. There were hundreds of vehicles stuck up on both sides of the bridge. The protesting male, female activists and children said that despite many complaints, authorities are neglecting their areas with regard to the issue of supply of water. The protesters also burnt tyres and chanted slogans against government on the occasion.
