Islamabad Police have arrested nine accused for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking and bootlegging and recovered 90 wine bottles and heroin from their possession, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Saturday. Responding to a tip-off, Station House Officer of Aabpara succeeded in arresting a bootlegger namely Nadeem Maseeh from whom 81 bottles of liquor was recovered.
Shehzad Town Police arrested Irfan Maseeh for having five bottles of liquor while Bhara Kahu Police nabbed an accused Aamir for having four bottles of liquor. Tarnol Police during a routine chacking stopped two persons namely Nadeem Khan and Arif Khan from whom 600 gram heroin were recovered.
Industrial Area Police after responding a complaint of the local people busted a prostitution gang and nabbed Akram, Siddique, Bushra Rehman and Farah for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. Golrra Police and Aabpara Police nabbed five and two suspects respectively who have failed to produce any identification documents or any reason for their stay in Pakistan. Investigation against these suspects is underway. SSP Islamabad has appreciated the performance of the policemen for nabbing anti-social elements and directed them to further intensify patrolling and vigilance in their respective areas.
