Shahbaz hails China for unwavering support of Pakistan

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the people of Pakistan are grateful to China for the statement of Chinese Prime Minister in support of Pakistan and its sovereignty.
He said that the Chinese Prime Minister through his statement that the international community should respect the sovereignty of Pakistan had sent a clear message to the world that Pakistan was not alone and could not be pushed against the wall with the incidents like that of Raymond Davis and Abbotabad. In a statement, the Chief Minister said in critical situation being faced by Pakistan, the clear and unambiguous Chinese message should not be taken lightly.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif rang up Chinese Embassy in Islamabad and conveyed the sentiments of people of Punjab to Chinese leadership and authorities over the statement of Chinese Prime Minister. Earlier, talking to a 20-member representative delegation of Chinese media led by Vice President China Radio International, Wang Dongmei, at Chief Minister's Secretariat, the Chief Minister said that the China and Pakistan enjoyed unswerving friendly ties which could not be described in words.
He said that China had always sided with Pakistan whether it was the time of peace or crisis. He said it was need of the hour that the close friendly relations between the two countries be further promoted in trade, industry and other sectors and joint ventures be launched.
He congratulated Chinese media for its prominent role in the unprecedented progress of the country. He said that he was thankful to Chinese government and people for the announcement of 50 F-17 thunder aircrafts for Pakistan. The leader of the delegation Ms Wang Dongmei while talking on the occasion said that the western media was promoting a negative image of Pakistan with regard to terrorism but the situation in Pakistan was different.
She said that the delegation after returning to China would inform the Chinese people about the true picture of Pakistan. She said that Chinese media would play its role for promoting cultural relations as well co-operation in agriculture, livestock, industries and other sectors. Later, the Chief Minister presented gifts to the delegation. Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Vice Chairman Punjab Investment Board and other officials were also present.
