BR staff reporter from Islamabad adds: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Thursday held two separate meetings with the United States Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan and the Chinese Deputy Chief of Staff Xinjiang Military Command on Thursday. Marc Grossman, United States Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff, General Kayani at General Headquarters.
During the meeting, the visiting dignitary discussed future of Pak-US engagement concerning reconciliation process in Afghanistan. This was the second high-profile American visit to Pakistan in days after Senator John Kerry's visit to Islamabad.
