Power DVD 11 gets smartphone connection

Cyberlink has redesigned its Power DVD video and music player. The new HD and 3D-capable version 11 supports the option of transferring and playing content from iOS and Android smartphones on a PC.
According to the manufacturer, playback of media stored on network hard disks has been improved. There is an app for iOS and Android priced at four dollars that turns the smartphone into a remote control for the player software. Depending on the specific edition, Power DVD 11 costs between 20 and 100 dollars.
