LAHORE: The lawyers community on Friday boycotted proceedings of courts here in protest over registration of a case under Anti-Terrorism Act sections against lawyers for vandalising Judicial Complex in Multan.
The lawyers partially boycotted court proceedings at the Lahore High Court and sub-ordinate courts. The lawyers appeared in urgent cases only but abstained from appearing in regular cases.
The boycott affected litigants who had to return disappointed as their cases could not be heard. The Punjab Bar Council had given the strike call.
