Post Osama strategy explanation: Prime Minister to address parliament today

Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani, will make a special address to parliament today to cater the mounting pressure builds on his government to explain why intelligence agencies failed to locate the hide out of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan and also explain the post Osama strategy.
Amid mounting demands that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister must resign on allowing for breaching the sovereignty of country by US Special Forces, it will be Prime Minister's first direct speech to parliamentarians since May 2.
On military front, reliable sources confirmed that two separate inquires have been initiated by Pakistan Military and Pakistan Air force to look into how the US raid has embarrassed the military establishment. However, ISPR kept quite on the subject of inquiry committees.
A day before President Zardari left for Kuwait, he called a meeting attended by prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, the army chief Ashfaq Parvez Kyani and senior ministers to review national security and foreign policy in the wake of the Abbottabad raid. Later, Prime Minister in a statement said that he would like to take the nation into confidence through parliament. The government is facing severe criticism at external and internal fronts. Some US Congress members reportedly question the way Osama was able to hide for years in Pakistan and demanding for the $1.3 billion US aid to be curtailed.
Internally, pressure on the government is also building. Former foreign minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi termed the unauthorised US military operation in Pakistan a massive government failure and demanded the resignation of President and Prime Minister.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is also on same page. He termed Abbottabad operation as assassination of national honour and demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari to step down or take the nation into confidence in this regard.
Bin Laden's youngest wife taken under custody reportedly said that Bin Laden had been living in a village in Haripur district from 2003 until late 2005 before moving to the compound where he was killed by US special forces.
