KIEV: Ukraine's steel output in 2017 is likely to fall 12 percent to 21.3 million tonnes due to the loss of some capacity in the eastern regions and a lack of raw materials, Ukrainian steel producers' union Ukrmetallurgprom said on Thursday.
Output of rolled steel could fall 14 percent to 18.5 million tonnes, while pig iron production is likely to decrease by 15 percent to 20.0 million tonnes, the union said in a statement.
