Greece denies report it considers leaving eurozone

Greece is not considering leaving the eurozone, deputy Finance Minister Filippos Sachinidis said on Friday, strongly denying a German press report. "The report about Greece leaving the eurozone is untrue," Sachinidis told Reuters. "Such reports undermine Greece and the euro and serve market speculation games."
The online version of German magazine Der Spiegel reported earlier on Friday that Greece raised the possibility of leaving the euro and that a crisis eurogroup meeting was being held later in the day to discuss the issue.-Reuters
